The aim of the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme is to provide shelter to the economically weaker section of the country. Making a home or buying a house is very expensive these days but the PM housing scheme helps build the house with a subsidy on interest, along with a longer period of up to 20 years to repay the loan so that there is no heavy burden of home loan and it can be paid gradually. The PM housing scheme was started on 25th June 2015. This scheme was started in two parts in which the first part focuses on rural areas and the second one is to focus on urban areas.
With the intention of obtaining the house as a benefit to more and more families of Rajsamand from the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme, the objective was to at least make 200 families benefit from it and by the present time, 203 families were provided houses under this scheme.
